Samma \u00e5r, som en del av ett samarbetsavtal med USA:s justitiedepartement och efterf\u00f6ljande immunitet mot \u00e5tal i Storbritannien, hj\u00e4lpte Richard USA, Storbritannien och andra regeringar att f\u00f6rst\u00e5 hur FCPA, mutor och andra export\u00f6vertr\u00e4delser f\u00f6rekom och fungerade i internationell f\u00f6rs\u00e4ljning. Richards samarbete, som str\u00e4ckte sig \u00f6ver tre \u00e5r av hemligt samarbete och tv\u00e5 \u00e5r av f\u00f6rberedelser inf\u00f6r r\u00e4tteg\u00e5ng och vittnesm\u00e5l, var ett av de l\u00e4ngsta i en utredning av ett ekobrott. \u00c5r 2012 d\u00f6mdes Richard som en del av sitt eget Plea Agreement och avtj\u00e4nade fjorton och en halv m\u00e5nad p\u00e5 ett federalt f\u00e4ngelsel\u00e4ger.
